    Backup & restore

    Full studio backup

One file with every piece, glaze, test tile, kiln, schedule, firing record and device photo. This is the recommended way to move devices or recover your journal — it is the only format that carries photo images. The CSV tools below cover every field of every record type, but photos travel as file paths only.

Reminder: records saved on this device live in this browser only. Clearing browser data, resetting the device or switching browsers loses them — export a backup every so often, or turn on cloud backup.

    CSV import & export

    Spreadsheets for every record

Every template lists all of the fields you can edit in the app. Import writes into the store you are using right now, so it works offline on this device too.

Every logged creation: clay, cone, status, glaze stack and firing plan.

Each row needs a piece name. 3 records ready to export.

Drag a pieces CSV here, or use Import CSV above.
    • Column headers are matched loosely — capitals, spaces and underscores don't matter, so older templates keep working.
    • Columns the app doesn't recognise are listed as warnings and skipped, never fatal.
    • Multi-value columns (tags, defects, photo keys, piece IDs) separate values with ";".
    • Repeating groups (glaze layers, firing segments) separate entries with ";" and the fields inside one entry with "|".
    • Leave the ID column blank for new records; keep it to update an existing one.
    • Photo image data is not included — only the stored photo paths. Use a full studio backup to move the images themselves.

    Clear this device

Removes every record and photo stored in this browser. Your cloud copy, if you have one, is not touched.
